I am a Vegan. Can I use your products?

Our products do contain the animal-sourced ingredient beeswax, honey and propolis. These are all listed on the ingredients section on the packaging and on our website. If you have a specific product question, please contact us and we would be happy to assist you.

I am gluten-restricted or have a nut allergy. What products are appropriate for my use?

None of our products contain gluten or nuts. During production none of our raw materials used in our products have been in a facilities that also processes products containing gluten or nuts. Therefore we can say all of our products are safe to use with gluten or nut allergies.

Several of our products are known to contain certain allergens, because raw materials that contain or are made from the allergen are intentional ingredients in those products.

Please carefully review the ingredient list of any product prior to use, particularly because the listed ingredients for a product may change. If you have a known allergy, you should always consult with your physician if you have questions regarding whether it is safe for you to use a particular product.

How long will my products last, and how do I determine the expiration date of a particular product?

On all our products we indicate on the bottom of the jar the expiry date. When a product is open it can be used for 12 months. 

Do you test on animals?

Bodybees do not test its products on animals nor do we ask others to do so on our behalf. 

What do you mean by your products being safe?

The EU Commission, Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 is the key European legislation governing finished cosmetics products in the EU. Our products have all been assessed and adhere according to the regulation. We also monitor each product batch so that we can be sure our products are safe.

Are your products safe to use for babies/toddlers? 

There is no risk for topical application of our Bee Baby Pure unless the baby has allergies to any of the ingredients. Our honey is not in its raw form, and it is tested along with the beeswax and propolis so that it does not contain harmful bacteria for babies. All our skin balms are for exterior use only.

I am concerned that I may have had a reaction to one of your products. What do I do?

If your experience involves a potential adverse reaction involving one of our products, please use our Contact us form and we will answer within 12hrs.

Why are your products made in South Africa?

As we also describe under About us one of the founder behind Bodybees sufferes from a skin condition called Atopic dermatitis. It was in South Africa where we started exploring the possibilities of natural ingredients and cures to still his itchy skin. Today he uses BEE CALM which relieves his itch and also help restore the skin. We believe that it is the South African natural ingredients that provides the result our skin have today and that is why we produce our products there. 

Does Bodybees collect personal data about me? If so, how can I access my personal data and exercise my rights regarding how my data is used?

We collect and use personal data of our site visitors as described in our Privacy Policy Statement. You can always request to see the personal data we may have about you, and to make any corrections, and exercise your other data protection rights by going to our Contact us page and submitting your request. We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably practicable.
