All Natural Ingredients

The biodiversity is one of South Africas greatest assets and is also the place from where we have sourced our natural ingredients.

Natural ingredients such as beeswax, honey and olive oil are recognized around the world for their antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Get to know our natural ingredients and how they benefit your skin.

Beeswax

THE NATURAL SKIN PROTECTANT THAT SOOTHES AND HYDRATES

Protective: When applied, beeswax forms a protective barrier that helps to shield the skin from external influences, while also holding in moisture and reducing dryness. This is one of the reasons beeswax is our favourite ingredient and why we use beeswax in our balms and lipbalms.

Vitamin A: Beeswax is a good source of this vitamin. Vitamin A stimulates the production of new skin cells to keep it from becoming overly dry and promoting skin rejuvination.

Aroma: We think there is no reason to use chemicals to make products smell good. Natural ingredients work so much better! Beeswax has a natural honey fragrance and a beautiful light aroma.

Olive Oil

We use olive oil in all our products. It gives our balms a beautiful texture and makes them easy to apply.Rich in VITAMINs: olive oil has many vitamins, including A, D, and K, as well as vitamin E.Moisturizes and fights bacteria: Olive oil is known to moisturize and hydrate your skin. If you’re prone to certain skin issues like acne, olive oil could help decrease your acne by killing off the bacteria that causes it.

Honey

Antibacterial: Honey is known to counteract the growth of various micro- organisms. Antimicrobial activity is considered the most important factor for honey in wound healing, however, various studies indicate that honey may also specifically act on skin cells involved in the wound healing process.

Antioxidants: Honey is known to have one of the highest amounts of antioxidants comparing to any naturally derived source. Antioxidants help to reduce the negative effects of free radicals that our skin is exposed to daily.

Hydration: The low water content of honey makes it great at keeping your skin hydrated through, continuously ”pulling” moisture to your skin and keeping it hydrated.
